The First Year
At the end of the first year of study, all students progress is reviewed by the faculty and administration. Students making satisfactory progress are invited to partcipate in the First Year Scene Night which is attended by family, friends, and alumni, providing a supportive environment to share what you have learned during the first year of study. Musical Workshop students will also have the opportunity to participate in a First Year Cabaret.

The Second Year
Second Year Students who have been reviewed to be making satisfactory progress participate in a Second Year Scene Night. A number of agents, casting directors, and other industry professionals are invited to attend. In addition, Musical Workshop students will participate in an industry attended Second Year Cabaret.

Both of the Two Year Professional Workshops culminate in a series of final projects that consist of several plays and a musical. Students are cast in these projects by the faculty's recommendation having reviewed their work for two years.

All rehearsals for the second year students performances and projects will be scheduled for evenings and weekends. The final projects are open to the public and are also sometimes performed in the mornings for New York City students in grades 7-12.

Alumni
After completing the program, there are several ways to continue to stay involved with the school. A select number of graduates are invited to join the Alumni Performance Ensemble. These graduates are paid by Circle to perform in one or more shows for school children in grades K to 6. The Alumni Performance Ensemble Season consists of three plays. For more information about the Alumni Performance Ensemble, please click here.

Another way to continue your involvement is to participate in the Arts in Education Program. This program provides the opportunity to put your talents to use, training to be a teaching artist, a skill which can supplement your income. Participants in this Arts in Education Program are paid a stipend upon completion. For more information about the Arts in Education Program, please click here.
