Eventually, everyone arrives: Dull Gret (Erin Fehr), the harrower of Hell, Pope Joan (Adrienne Lovette), the woman who disguised herself as a man and was elected Pope, and Patient Griselda (Vivi Katsani), the patient wife from The Clerk's Tale in Geoffrey Chaucer's Canterbury Tales.
Throughout this historical event of great women, each share their stories and later become intoxicated, which lead them to morn over their lives.
Meanwhile, Angie (Rona Fromchenko) and Kit (Deondra Lyonne) both hide from Joyce (Emily Christianson), Angie's mother, while discussing the war. Angie also reveals a need to see her aunt whom she believes is really her mother and the need to kill her current "mother", Joyce.
Once she finds them, Joyce (Emily Christianson) scolds Angie (Rona Fromchenko) and Kit (Deondra Lyonne) and sends them back into the house.
In a flashback, we see Marlene (Jennifer Gartner), Win (Janice Amano) and Nell (Vivi Katsani) conversing over their work at the Top Girls Employment Agency.
In the agency, a number of interviews are being conducted. Here, Win (Janice Amano) interviews Louise (Adrienne Lovette), a department manager in her 40's who needs a change.
Later that day, Marlene (Jennifer Gartner) is confronted by Mrs. Kidd (Meara Levezow) about Marlene taking her husband's job.
Nell (Vivi Katsani) later conducts an interview with a young woman (Deondra Lyonne) who claims to have a lot of business experience and states that "youngness runs in our family".
In another flashback, Marlene (Jennifer Gartner) gives her "niece", Angie (Rona Fromchenko), a new dress
Marlene (Jennifer Gartner) and Joyce (Emily Christianson) have a heated argument about each other's life styles. They discuss Marlene's decision to give her daughter Angie to Joyce.
